There’s nothing quite like a goal montage to get people excited.
It shows you everything you need to know about the player you’re getting, whether or not he can finish with both feet, if he’s good in the air, are they all tap-ins or can he finish from distance as well? You know, everything.
Apart from any glaring misses of course, for all we know he could have missed eight open goals from within the six-yard box, but they always seem to leave those bits out don’t they? They usually get pushed aside to the blooper reels. But let’s not worry about that shall we?
Leeds United, in an effort to hype up their deadline day signing Eddie Nketiah as much as they could, decided to unveil their own montage of him in action.
It included a collection of his goals from the Arsenal academy sides, as well as a couple he scored in pre-season against the likes of Bayern Munich and Fiorentina on International Champions Cup duty.
Needless to say, the flurry of goals was enough to get Leeds fans excited, more so than they already were when they first announced the deal. Will he be able to turn his potential into goals in the Championship, I think no, but clearly these people think different.
Looks like a natural ‘Goal Scorer.’ With Bielsa coaching will become a potent clinical scoring player in our attacking play.

Looks like the best thing Leeds have had from Arsenal since that win in 2003 that kept us up

Shows good pace, awareness, finishing, positioning, good on both feet. All in all, yes. Lee Johnson must be in a big huff having lost him.
