Following on from the disappointing draw with Luton Town, Leeds United still had advantage in the race for the Championship title, and we showed the perfect reaction against Blackburn Rovers in Saturday’s clash.

Goals from Patrick Bamford, Kalvin Phillips and Mats Klich gave us a pretty comfortable 3-1 victory on the afternoon, but with West Bromwich Albion taking victory over Hull earlier today, our lead is again cut to only one point – but that’s all it needs to be by the end of the season for us to achieve manager Marcelo Bielsa’s dream.

Given the solid performance, it was no surprise to see statistics website Whoscored give some very positive player ratings, but often maligned striker, Patrick Bamford, took their star man award to lift Man of the Match with a score of 8.00.

Completing the top five best performers in their system on the day were Mats Klick (7.93), Kalvin Phillips (7.55), Bent White (7.22) and Barry Douglas (7.07).

Onto Stoke City for Thursday’s fixture back at Elland Road – all we need to do is keep our noses out in front.
