Now that the League Cup is out of the way, it’s time to focus on what really matters, the Championship.
Having started the season undefeated with a victory away to Bristol City and a draw with Nottingham Forest, attention now turns to Wigan Athletic, a game that cost Leeds so dearly in their hunt for promotion last season.
As we reported on a few days ago, Bielsa got into the habit last season of naming his teams before games. Now he’s taken it one step further by joking with the press during his latest pre-match conference. He said:
“I cannot name the team before the game, as a supporter said I was giving away a lot to the opposition, but between you and me it’s the same team.”
It’s good to see managers having a little bit of a laugh every now and again, it makes them seem a little bit more human. Like when Jose Mourinho was in his early Chelsea days, much better than when he’s grumpy.
It seems the fans agree with me, as they responded to Bielsa’s light-hearted comments with some of their own.
It’s okay Mr Bielsa, I won’t tell em ????

Although these fans weren’t sure which ‘same team’ he was referring to.
The same team as Salford or same team as forest

I presume he means same team as Forest, not Salford.
