Turns out Marcelo Bielsa does listen to people outside his coaching staff.
Maybe if he started paying attention to a couple of my pieces, we might start to get along a little better.
Marcelo Bielsa’s press conferences have been great entertainment in the past, although none were quite as spectacular as his infamous presentation in the wake of the Spygate scandal. Not just that, but there were a couple of occasions last season where he would name his team a few days before the match.
And his pre-match conference ahead of tonight’s game with Salford certainly had an interesting caveat to it. This time he made a joke about the idea of naming the line-ups ahead of time, saying that “he got advice last season not to name it in public and doesn’t know what to do for the best, but he’s not naming it this time.”
So just how did Leeds fans respond to this? Well, pretty much in the same way I did, with joy that Bielsa was finally taking notice for once. Although don’t start using this as a licence to try and pick the team yourself, that might be a step too far.
Good man Marcelo. Penny has finally dropped ????

Great news. That was my only criticism of the Don Bielsa last season. Cards close to the chest is best

About time! Why give your opponent any more time to consider how to play against you than is required?

I hope this doesn’t mess with this process? ????????
