Leeds Word On The Tweet

‘We can dream’ – These Leeds fans all demand same thing in reply to club tweet

Leeds announced on Friday that tickets for our pre-season friendly with York City will go on sale to season ticket holders on Monday morning, but a few of the United supporters replying to the announcement wanted to focus on other matters.

The trip to Bootham Crescent is scheduled to be a 19:00 kick-off on Wednesday, July 10, with an approximate away allocation of 2,150 tickets spread over the standing and seated areas of York’s ground.

Thanks to the number of tickets offered by the National league North club, 80% of the 2,150 have been reserved for season ticket holders, with the remaining 20% reserved for gold members, who will be able to purchase theirs on Friday, June 28.

Supporters reacting to the on-sale date being declared, though, have been focusing on the club’s lack of confirmed transfers, as the last man to sign a contract with the Whites was Kiko Casilla on January 17.

Wolverhampton Wanderer’s Helder Costa has been heavily linked with a summer switch from Molineux to Elland Road, though, so that could soon change, with the Portuguese winger reportedly telling his close friends of his desires to join the Whites.

Bristol City’s Callum O’Dowda is also thought to be keen on a move to West Yorkshire, but the Republic of Ireland international is not thought to be in the club’s plans, having opted against a move for the 24-year-old in January.

Here’s how these Leeds fans reacted to the club’s tweet…
