Report: Leeds man snubs The Foxes

|

According to reports from well-renowned football reporter Pete O Rourke in a piece with Football Insider, Leeds United winger Jack Harrison has rejected a move to Leicester City to stay at Elland Road.

Despite ongoing speculation and persistence from Brendan Rodgers and Leicester City, Leeds United winger Jack Harrison has reportedly turned down a move that would have seen him join the Whites’ Premier League rivals.

Earlier today, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that Leeds’ decision on a potential departure for Harrison was partially dependent on the possibility of bringing in another attacking player in his place, leading to talks that the club were negotiating with AS Roma about a potential move for Italian attacking midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo.

With the indication that Jack Harrison will be going nowhere today, its hard to envisage a scenario where Leeds bring in another attacker – though as we often see, Deadline Day can be full of surprises.

Harrison, now 26, has been with Leeds through a lot. He’s been there for play-off heartbreak, promotion triumph, Bielsa’s departure, and scored the famous goal that put the icing on the cake of Leeds’ Premier League survival away to Brentford on the final day of the 2021-22 season. While it was a cup tie with lower league opposition, we were again reminded of how much quality he has with his gem of a goal away to Accrington Stanley last weekend.

I think its a good thing he doesn’t leave Leeds right now. There’s so much football left in the season that he can absolutely put a good run of form together, and help steer Leeds away from another relegation scrap.

Jack Harrison is Leeds we are trying to build something here now and with better players in the team we will see a much better player in Jack. I feel a little more optimistic about our chances of staying up now. Next season we need to be thinking top 6
