Leeds midfielder attracts interest from Los Angeles FC

|

According to reports from Polish sports media sourceĀ WP SportoweFakty, 21 year old Leeds United midfielder and Poland under 21 international Mateusz Bogusz has attracted interested from MLS expansion side Los Angeles FC.

The current MLS champions supposedly have their sights set on the Leeds man, who is highly rated as a talented future prospect.

Bogusz, 21, is into his second loan spell at UD Ibiza in Spain following a successful stint there during the 2021-22 campaign. He has 16 first team appearances to his name La Liga 2 this season, along with 18 caps for the Poland national team’s under 21 side [via Transfermarkt].

The likelihood of anything coming to fruition here any time soon has to be low. Considering we’re already at the end of the January transfer window, getting any deal across the line is a tall order – let alone a deal for a player currently out on loan. There’s no calling for Leeds to terminate the midfielder’s loan with Ibiza so they can let Bogusz head across the Atlantic.

Mateusz Bogusz was recruited by Leeds as a future prospect and is still regarded as a potential first team player in the future. Unless the player is dead-set on a move to the MLS, it would be a strange decision for Leeds to entertain any offers that may hit the table before the transfer deadline tonight at 11pm.
