Leeds United looked to be heading for three points as they led 1-0 at Preston North End at half time but the Lancashire side hit back to score three times in the second half.
Kemar Roofe had given Leeds an early first-half lead and Pablo Hernandez and Caleb Ekuban both forced Declan Rudd into first-half saves.
For the home side, Billy Bodin went closest but his effort came back off the post.
Leeds had denied Preston an effort on target in the first half but in the second half, Preston scored three times from seven attempts on target.
Paul Gallagher pulled Preston level early in the second half when he scored from the penalty spot and minutes later, they were ahead when Sean Maguire headed home.
Alan Browne ensured the points were staying in Lancashire when he headed home a third in the final ten minutes.
Preston had the better of the efforts on goal with 16 shots to Leeds 9.
