Thursday evening turned into a very good night for Leeds United fans as we put ourselves within one point of securing promotion back to the Premier League after 16 long years outside of the top flight.

Securing a narrow 1-0 victory over Barnsley at Elland Road, means we can now actually secure automatic promotion if West Bromwich Albion fail to win their clash on Friday evening – as things stand, the second tier title is well within our grasp with a five point advantage already.

It wasn’t a great encounter but we did what we needed to and statistics website Whoscored edged the player ratings in our favour.

Their star man award when to skipper Liam Cooper with a score of 7.80 for the game.

Did Cooper's Performance Tick Your Box?

Completing the top five best performers in their eyes were Gaetano Berardi (7.75), Ben White (7.67), Luke Ayling (7.39) and goalkeeper Illan Meslier (7.16).

Onto Friday’s clash and if we don’t get our just rewards then, onto our next clash and we secure it ourselves.
