20-year-old youngster Tyler Roberts arrived at Leeds United back in the January 2018 transfer window for a snip £2.5million fee from West Bromwich Albion and there were high expectations of the lad given how highly rated he was.

Injury seriously hampered his progress with us in the second half of that season and he finally made his club debut when manager Marcelo Bielsa called on him in the EFL Cup clash with Bolton Wanderers last August.

It’s fair to say Roberts hasn’t looked back and despite some wobbles and below par performances as he continues to develop, he hasn’t really looked back and even gained international recognition for Wales during the year.

The versatile attacker has filled in when asked in both attack and midfield, and with the curtain coming down on the year he has 23 starting appearances, with eight showings from the substitutes bench and he chipped in with three Championship goals and five assists.

He also played a massive part filling in during our injuries upfront and many fans credit him for that, even if it wasn’t ideal.
