With a mixed, but largely poor, run of results over the New Year period so far, Leeds United got back to winning ways in today’s clash with Rotherham United.

Heading to the New York Stadium for the latest Championship clash, Leeds did fall behind in the game but a second-half fightback saw us take all three points to give us a three-point advantage over Norwich City in the second tier table.

The buffer we had kept us in top spot, so it would be nice to now restore and grow that buffer to give us wriggle room for the inevitable hiccups that will come in the remaining months of the season.

Mats Klich was the star of the day with his two goals, so hopefully, onwards and upwards once again now.

Speaking to the BBC following the fulltime whistle, it was Klich’s turn to take the microphone.

“I’m very happy. It was a great ball from Pablo for the first goal, the first touch wasn’t good but I used the mistake from the opponent and put the ball in the net. With the second, I had the same chance at Villa but didn’t score, so I had to today. Every win is important, especially away at a tough place to come, and a different game than we’re used to. We sometimes have problems against a team with an aerial game and that’s their main force. We didn’t play great first half but it matters how you end the game.”
