Many Austrian outlets are reporting that Mo Camara of RB Salzburg could be the next player to join Leeds United, following the £42 million sale of Kalvin Phillips, with Darko Gyabi coming the other way.

Salzburger Nachrichten (English translation linked) has suggested that it could be a ‘quick move’ to Yorkshire for Camara, with the club now having the ‘financial resources’ to complete the signing due to Phillips’ sale. They suggest a deal of around 30 million euros.

Krone, Austria’s biggest newspaper, believes that Mo Camara has agreed a move to Leeds United. They suggest that a breakthrough occurred at the weekend, after weeks-long negotiations, and that the move was agreed despite several offers from other clubs. Krone suggests that the deal could be a new record-sale for the Bulls, at around 35 million euros, including add-ons, just ahead of Brenden Aaronson’s sale to Leeds earlier this summer.

This would be Leeds’ third signing from RB Salzburg just this window, after Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen, largely due to Jesse Marsch being their former manager, teaching their players to play his characteristic style of football.

The Malian remains excused from training at Salzburg as he attempts to secure his future away from Austria, and he has been ‘liked’ by Leeds for a while now. Brighton have also been heavily interested, but may now have to look elsewhere for an Yves Bissouma replacement.

American Tyler Adams could also join the club for a lower price or on loan, from RB Leipzig, having previously played for Jesse Marsch at two different clubs. Info on this potential signing can be found here.
