Leeds United’s capture of young winger Mats Bogusz from Polish side Ruch Chorzow had plenty of fans thinking ‘who’ but the 17-year-old has already begun demonstrating exactly what attracted the club to him as he continues to adjust to life at Elland Road.

Having largely wowed fans with his efforts in his Under 23 debut the other week, Monday evening saw his second appearance for Carlos Corberan’s side and the youngster didn’t fail to impress once again.

Playing his part as he put the side through to the last 16 stage of the Premier League Cup competition as we took a 3-1 victory over Newcastle United, Bogusz helped himself to an assist on the night as he set up fellow highly rated youngster Ryan Edmondson for our second goal on the day.

Reacting to the game and his showing, plenty felt we would see him in manager Marcelo Bielsa’s first team squad before the end of the current season.
