It’s a Yorkshire derby for us this weekend and I just hope that means the lads are going to produce some kind of performance.

We’ve been limp and sluggish a lot this season and even in the big games the players haven’t really got up for it or put in a performance.

We should be able to get motivated for this game, though, and if we can’t more fingers will be pointed at Paul Heckingbottom.

Indeed, he’s already set for some hostility with him expecting abuse from the Barnsley fans come kick-off:

Rather predictably, though, some of our fans have pointed out that it might not just be from the away end where the vitriol comes from:

The Verdict

I really hope that such a scenario doesn’t happen where our fans are having a go, too, but you can sense the increase in impatience with Hecky and it is understandable.

Losing this game to a local rival and a team that has been poor this year would certainly see some lose their heads so let’s hope we can just get a solid result for a change.

Thoughts, Whites? Let me know!
