New Leeds signing Tyler Adams has made a promise to The Whites faithful ahead of the Premier League campaign, in an interview with the YorkshireEveningPost.

The American International, signed from RB Leipzig in the summer has vowed to be a ‘pest’ to Premier League opponents this season, news which will be well received by the fans. He said “[I’m] more of a pest type of player,”

“I’m just in and around, trying to win every ball that I can I go for, every single ball, never shying away from attack or just getting stuck in.”

Elland Road loves a player who gets stuck in and doesn’t shy away from the tackle, and that can be heard on the terraces when a player gives his all for the club. Adams wants to be no different, and from what we have seen in his pre-season performances so far, he isn’t going to disappoint.

He added “In transition I think that I obviously have a lot to offer, whether it’s defensively when we’re transitioning, being able to catch players and win the ball and then give [the ball] to creative guys. That’s a reason I love to play with Brenden [Aaronson]. I win the ball, give him the ball and he just goes on his own, those are the guys I like to play with,”

There are some areas he needs to work on, and he went on to say “One of the areas that I want to improve on is in that final third, how can I find that final pass and help get the ball to some of the guys that can score in good positions so I need to continue to work on that,”

It will be fascinating to see how Adams plays in front of a packed Elland Road, and exciting to hear the noise when that first strong tackle goes in. Leeds start the season off with a home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on 6th August.
