Fee agreed for Leeds left-back

|

Leeds United left-back Leif Davis is set to join League One side Ipswich Town , with term agreed between the clubs and the move to officially go through this week.

Davis got some game-time for Leeds in the pre-season tour in Australia, with Junior Firpo getting injured against Blackpool previously, opening the position to him. However, it seems that he did not manage to impress Jesse Marsch enough to stay.

It will be a ‘seven-figure fee‘ for the 22-year-old whose contract expires in 2023, making a sale now important otherwise he could have gone for free next year.

He made 10 starts and 5 appearances from the bench for the now-promoted side AFC Bournemouth last season in the Championship so looks to be a quality signing for Kieran McKenna’s side who will be hoping to bounce back from a few season’s in the third tier.
