The 2019/20 season may have only just come to an end, but already plans are being made for the next one.
For Leeds United of course, the 2020/21 campaign will be a historic, as they make their return to the Premier League for the first time since 2004.
Having secured their return to the top-flight of English football in memorable style as Champions of the Championship this season, Leeds are now starting to find out just how the schedule for that first season back in the big time will play out.
It was announced on Friday that the 2020/21 Premier League campaign will begin on the weekend of the 12th September – just seven weeks from now – and be played all the way through to the weekend of the 23rd May, with the announcement of the fixtures to be made in due course.
Taking to Twitter to react to that news, plenty of Leeds fans were understandably excited by that reminder of just how close that long-awaited return to the Premier League really is.
