Spanish journalist Edgar Navarro has taken to social media to claim that Leeds United have rejected two offers for Samu Saiz.
With some baseless speculation linking him with a return to former club Huesca, Navarro seems to dismiss that but goes onto state that Getafe have seen a 7million Euro offer rejected for the 27-year-old, and further that Valencia have had a 10million Euro offer rebuffed.
The journalist states that Saiz has the ‘trust’ of new manager Marcelo Bielsa and that ‘he has no intention of leaving’ the club this summer.
Given his performances so far in pre-season and especially following the game against Southend United at the weekend, fans are already debating his future at Elland Road and for some rejecting bids of that value is a nonsensical decision by the club based on what the player has returned for us on the pitch so far.
Given we paid a reported £3million for him last summer, that’s a fantastic markup if accurate for a man with mixed reviews at best.

I’d sell him,he’s a luxury player…..use the money to throw at vydra instead
— Adam Barlow (@AdamPaulBarlow) July 23, 2018
He doesn’t do enough for me and is a hot head so sell and get Foden and Diaz from Man City on loan Wafll

I like him, on his game he's top drawer, but something is not right. The back end of last season since Newport proved that.

Sell him
— mattstyler (@MJSTYLER123) July 22, 2018
He just needs to pass a fraction earlier. If we sell our better players, like Saiz, then we may as well just sell the whole squad, sell the ground to a developer and save the loyal fans years more misery
— Carl Hinchliffe (@CarlHinchliffe) July 22, 2018
This better not happen. Not a chance in million years would we have time to replace him or the actual acumen to sort it. We’re way short as it is never mind even thinking of this.

Hernandez would step straight into Saiz's position. It's hard to see both of them in the same team.

Can’t sell him. End of. Keep your best players. When will fans learn
— Mark Taylor (@MarkTaylor1979) July 22, 2018
He’s absolute class. Doesn’t shoot enough, doesn’t work hard enough without the ball, I’ll give you that. But, dribbles very well, takes players on, has vision and good passing. There was end product last season but it was missed because our strikers couldn’t finish. HAS to stay
— Dom R (@dommer14) July 22, 2018
He’s off

Never an end product, too lightweight for this league
