With Leeds United taking a 1-1 draw from Southend United as we made the trip to Roots Hall at the weekend, a number of fans were less than impressed with our attacking display on the day.
Luke Ayling saved our blushes in the 34th minute as he hit his second goal of pre-season to draw us level after the hosts had taken an early lead and Ezgjan Alioski seemed to bear the brunt of fan anger following the game.
Ayling actually had a chance to win it late on as he saw another effort cleared off the line.
As for Alioski though, he was poor across the match and you’d have to describe his performance as below par as fans know he’s capable of far better than that – consistency is a long-standing issue though for some fans and they think it’s time he moved on as we seem incapable of getting the best out of him.
He’s far from alone though.

Better from Leeds this half. Forshaw looks very good. But Alioski is having another shocker. Maybe he's just not as good as we all thought at the start. Looking forward to seeing Roberts now #lufc
