When you talk about making a big splash in the Premier League, I think we’ve already done that with the signing of someone like Rodrigo.

However, this would take it to a whole new level in terms of laying down a marker for our ambition in the top flight.

According to a report from Alfredo Pedulla, Leeds United have been given the chance to sign signing Brazilian international midfielder Douglas Costa.

With Premier League football back on tv what better way to spend a day than watching your favourite team via a Premier League football stream. It claims that the winger is ‘not untouchable’ with his current club Juventus, but that it would take a sizeable offer for the club to consider letting him go as they look to recoup as much of the €40m+ that they paid for him, although as things stand it probably won’t be to Elland Road as the club are ‘shy’ on the idea of bringing him in. Which I think on the surface is a pretty smart attitude for the club to have.

Will we spend more than £100m this window?

No

Whilst there is obviously no doubting his ability as a player, with 158 goals and assists in his career so far, I just don’t think that the money spent would be worth the improvement on the squad that we have right now.

With Helder Costa and Jack Harrison both making excellent starts to the season so far on the flanks, we’ve got something good going here, and if they’re able to keep up those levels of production throughout the season, then I don’t think we necessarily need to add someone, even of Costa’s talent to try and disrupt that harmony that the wide men, as well as Patrick Bamford, have developed right now.

Perhaps if we didn’t have one of them, we might be able to get away with it as a ‘boost’ of quality, but right now it would just be a luxury.

What about you? Do you think we should go in for Costa?
