A look back at what happened on this day April 27th in the history of Leeds United.

Leeds have played 12 times on this day during their history, winning six and losing six.

*On this day in 1966, Leeds beat Real Zaragoza 2-1 at Elland Road in the Inter-Cities Cup semi-final second leg.

Jack Charlton and Albert Johanneson were on target for Leeds as they levelled the tie up at 2-2. In those days, away goals did not count and a toss of a coin was used to decide where a replay would be played. Stand in skipper Jack Charlton won the toss for Leeds for the game to be played at Elland Road. Unfortunately, despite Charlton scoring for Leeds, they lost 3-1.

**On this day 1974, Allan Clarke scored the only goal of the game for Leeds on the final day of the season in their 1-0 win at Queens Park Rangers. It was the perfect end to a title winning season for Leeds that had seen them remain unbeaten in their first 29 games of the season.
