Leeds United Academy graduate Mallik Wilks has seen his loan spell out with Doncaster Rovers go from strength to strength across the 2018/19 campaign.
With only one substitute showing for Leeds so far in his development, the 20-year-old attacker headed out to League One Doncaster for his third loan spell of his career and he had an incredibly bright start, scoring in his opening three matches.
As is often the case, he then had a scoring lull for a period but he’s kept his head down and worked hard and as I type, he now has 41 starting appearances to his name, seven substitute showings, but he’s notched up 16 goals. The last of which came at the weekend in their victory over Bradford City, and he has scored in each of his last three matches once again.
In many ways, the spell couldn’t have gone better and Doncaster fans are certainly appreciative of his efforts.
