The topic of goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell divides Leeds United fans in almost equal measure.

The 22-year-old is clearly a talent, his emergence on the scene for Leeds back in the 2017/18 campaign proves that, as does his regular outings for Northern Ireland at international level despite his tender age for a stopper.

It’s also not unfair to say he has plenty of things left to work on when it comes to his game, but that’s always the way with young players.

With 41 appearances to his name as he stepped up to first team duties when the call came, his game time has been limited since former Real Madrid goalkeeper Kiko Casilla joined on at Elland Road back in the January transfer window.

Finding himself replaced shouldn’t have been a slight on him, more an opportunity to learn under a more experienced colleague who can help bring him on further and I’d like to think the vast majority are behind him in making that improvement, whilst also recognising the part he has played in what has been a very good season for the club.

With eyes turning to Young Player of the Year, BPF has his supporters.
