Many Leeds United fans were unhappy with the performance of midfielder Pablo Hernandez following his side’s 1-0 victory against Barnsley on Thursday evening.
The result left the Whites needing just one point to earn promotion back to the Premier League for the first time since 2004.
Michael Sollbauer would consider himself unfortunate after he turned Patrick Bamford’s cross into his own net in the first half, which turned out to be the winning goal in the game that the hosts greatly underperformed.
Hernandez made his introduction to the game at half-time but was brought off just before the end, kicking a water bottle in frustration and marching straight down the player’s tunnel, and it’s easy to see why Marcelo Bielsa made that decision.

During the 44 minutes that he was on the field, Sofascore rated him at just 5.8 due to the fact he did not win any duels, made no tackles and lost possession 16 times.
The Spanish middle man is a popular figure at Elland Road, but that proves that he is not exempt from criticism.
With this in mind, supporters were not pleased with Hernandez and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan stated that he should “grow up”, while another stated that Bielsa was right to bring him off.
