Leeds United have one foot in the Premier League after picking up a victory in the Yorkshire derby this evening.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side struck early in the first half as Patrick Bamford’s cut-back was turned into the net by Barnsley defender Michael Sollbaeur.
Despite the three points, plenty of the Elland Road faithful who were watching from home were less than impressed with the display from winger Helder Costa before he was forced off through injury.
Former Whites midfielder Alex Mowatt clattered into him off the ball and he had to be stretched off in the 49th minute.

Per SofaScore, the 26-year-old lost possession ten times, made just 12 passes and won just 50% of his duels both aerially and on the ground.
It’s led to supporters calling him “anonymous” and “doss” whilst one fan couldn’t work out why they had just paid out over ten million for him permanently.
Even when he was being taken off, another member of the United fanbase claimed that he should have been withdrawn at half-time instead.
