Plenty of Leeds United fans let rip at midfielder Tyler Roberts for his performance during his side’s 1-0 victory against Barnsley on Thursday night.

The 21-year-old played the first 45 minutes at Elland Road before he made way for his senior teammate Pablo Hernandez after being largely ineffective in the game.

His side now require just one point to secure promotion to the Premier League for the first time since 2004 after an own goal from Barnsley’s Michael Sollbauer was the difference.

Fans could not wait for him to leave the field in the first-half and it was clear to see why.

Per Sofascore, the Welshman only completed 11 passes from 29 touches of the ball, only won four duels and lost possession 10 times.

Because of this, supporters were not impressed and made their feelings clear on social media. Two fans described him as “a passenger” and an “invisible man”, while another stated that he does not offer anything.
