Leeds United fans have been reacting on social media to a shock transfer rumour linking them with a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers Ivan Cavaleiro.
The rumour emerged on Friday afternoon, when The Sun’s Mike McGrath shared a tweet suggesting that Leeds were looking to make a deal for the 25-year-old.
#Leeds looking to do deal for #Wolves forward Ivan Cavaleiro. More on @TheSunFootball

McGrath offered no details on whether the transfer would be on a loan or permanent basis, or if Cavaleiro was being lined up as a replacement to Daniel James should Swansea play hardball over the winger’s value.
Either way, the surprise rumour caused ripples among the Elland Road faithful, who jumped on his words with hope and optimism.
The 25-year-old individually contributed with nine goals and 12 assists to Wolves’ promotion season last term, which would easily make the two-cap Portugal international a great addition for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

I would love for him to help us push on & get us over the line. I know Daniel James is the one Leeds want to get done first but there were talks of another coming on loan, I’m guessing Ivan Cavaleiro could be the one coming on loan.

That be a good signing if it’s true as we can’t reply on bamford and brown to be fit we need another striker

Exactly the type of signing we should be making to finish the job.

Hang on, Isnt Caveleiro better than James.

Sounds like a possible then Phil.. nice fallback to have ???? Personally would rather have Cavalerio

Ivan Cavaleiro should be first choice if he is available, bizarre if he is a fallback option.

Could it not be that James was the fallback to Cavaliero if we were told he wasn’t available? If #wwfc have now made him available he might be first choice again.
