Yesterday, we saw the Yorkshire Evening Post suggest that Leeds were considering Patrick Bamford as an alternative to Matej Vydra.
The Czech forward has been linked with our club all summer but it has been touch and go for much of it in terms of whether we’re actually close to a deal.
Bamford, then, has been apparently identified as an alternative with him scoring double figures for Middlesbrough last season in the Championship.
With a potential change in transfer targets suggested, then, we asked Leeds fans who they’d rather sign of the pair and it’s safe to say they’d rather we didn’t change tact:
The Verdict
This is something I certainly agree with.
Vydra is a player that should be looked at right until the end of the window and though Bamford is good, Vydra is that bit better and more consistent.
With Derby signing Marriott, hopefully, now we can, at last, make our move stick for the Rams man.
