According to the Sun, we’re finally going to complete the signing of Matej Vydra from Derby County for £11m.
The striker has been linked with our club for most of the summer after it was made apparent that he was one of Marcelo Bielsa’s key targets.
It appeared as though we might not be getting him over personal terms, though, but things now seem to have changed for the better.
Of course, I won’t be jumping to conclusions just yet after the summer we’ve had but it appears things are moving in the right direction and that can only be a good thing.
The Verdict
If Vydra signs our squad suddenly looks so much more competitive.
A player of great quality in the second tier, he guarantees goals and could be the man to fire us towards the sharp end of the league.
Let’s hope this one finally gets done.
