Leeds United fans had a vested interest in Saturday’s Champions League Final as Tottenham Hotspur faced off against Liverpool for the ultimate European prize.
With Academy graduate Danny Rose lining up in white, firm Leeds favourite James Milner lined up in red and the 33-year-old played his part in helping them to lift the trophy in a 2-0 victory.
With plenty of Leeds fans already hoping to see Milner return to Elland Road this summer, irrespective of whether or not it actually seems likely, as he took to social media on Monday to celebrate his most recent success, some weren’t going to let the opportunity pass when it came to again letting him know he’d be welcomed back with open arms.
Since leaving the club, Milner has gone on to win almost everything there is in the top flight game, and it’s understandable as to why fans want him to add the Championship winners medal to his collection.
