Jesse Marsch has spoken about the speculation surrounding Jack Harrison after it was reported that Leicester City had tabled a bid for the winger.

The 26-year-old has been the subject of speculation suggesting a move away for the winger with the latest bid believed to be around £20m from Leicester City. The tricky winger was signed by former boss Marcelo Bielsa from Manchester City permanently in 2021 for a fee of £11m and has been an ever-present ever since he arrived at Elland Road.

Harrison was the subject of two bids from Newcastle United in the summer believed to be around £25m which were instantly rejected by the Yorkshire club. However, this season Harrison has struggled for form and with the Whites having wingers in abundance, it was thought he may be set to leave this January.

As per LeedsLive, Marsch said, “All I’ll say is I really like Jack, first as a person, he’s one of the most incredible people I’ve ever coached. We like him here. We want to keep him. He’s performing really well.”

He added, “Getting him fit and healthy has been a big key. He’s got flexibility in the way he plays. He does like it here. That’s all I can say. It’s not like he’s itching to leave. I know when I see him now, I see a guy who’s clear and confident and nothing’s going to faze him.”

Jesse Marsch will be hoping to keep hold of Harrison as he sees him as a big part of the project at Elland Road. Many have become frustrated with Jack as he is a player who has two or three superb games and then can go missing from time to time.

It is very frustrating because we all know how high his ceiling is, he needs to keep his performances at a level we all know he can achieve on a regular basis. It is also worryingly close to the end of the transfer window to find a replacement.
