Kiko Casilla left many Leeds United supporters disillusioned last season, as his hapless errors blighted our bid for promotion out of the Championship and back into the Premier League.

The new campaign has seen a different version of the Spaniard take to Elland Road, though, and fans have now been lauding the former Real Madrid man for his efforts in West Yorkshire after he kept Brentford at bay to earn his third clean sheet in a row.

Bristol City and Nottingham Forest had managed to blast the ball home beyond the £2.7million-rated man in the opening weekends of the term, but Salford City, Wigan Athletic and now Pontus Jansson’s Brentford have failed to replicate the Robins or the City Ground natives’ results.

A strong defensive effort by Ezgjan Alioski, Liam Cooper, Ben White and Stuart Dallas gave Casilla a helping hand against Brentford, as Thomas Frank’s Bees could only fashion five efforts on Wednesday night and only one made its way on target.

Two of the visitor’s strikes were also blocked by Mateusz Klich, while three failed to hit the target. Casilla, meanwhile, ended his latest ninety minutes for the Whites with one save, one collection and two claims to his name to earn a lot of love from the Elland Road faithful.

Here’s how these Leeds supporters judged the £32,115-a-week star’s performance against Brentford…
