Well, that certainly was a tough one, wasn’t it?

Another win under the belt, still undefeated and top of the table by virtue of goal difference. A pessimistic person would say that it’s all downhill from here.

But let’s leave the pessimism for another time, shall we? Leeds scraped past Brentford last night by virtue of an Eddie Nketiah goal with less than ten minutes to go.

Leeds started off the game as the much more dominant side, creating plenty of chances for themselves, but sadly they couldn’t convert any of them.

Thankfully though, there wasn’t much panic about the visitors making the breakthrough as the United defence kept them at arm’s length not just in the first half, but throughout the entire game.

The second half went more or less the same way as the first, with the home side huffing and puffing at the Brentford door, however they just couldn’t break the door down, and Leeds fans were starting to get nervous.

However, just as it seemed like Leeds were set to drop points at home for the second straight game, on-loan forward Eddie Nketiah jumped off the bench and having made a beautiful run into the box to get on the end of fellow substitute Helder Costa’s cross to fire into an empty net and give them the lead.

With the defence keeping their opponents at bay, all that was left was for the home side to see out the game and collect the three points.
