Leeds United have reportedly offered striker Chris Wood a new improved deal to stay with the club.

Wood, who still has two-years remaining of his current deal at Elland Road, has been offered a new three-year deal according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Leeds will be hoping Wood puts pen-to-paper on the new deal to end speculation surrounding his future with the club.

The New Zealand international has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs this summer with Leeds already turning down two bids from Burnley for the striker who netted 30 times for Leeds last season.

Wood joined Leeds in the summer of 2015 from Leicester City on a four-year deal and he has scored 44 goals in 88 appearances since his arrival.

His 30 goals for Leeds last season saw him finish the season as the leading goalscorer in the Championship and he joined an exclusive club of just six players to score 30 goals in a season for Leeds.

Tom Jennings, John Charles (twice), Peter Lorimer, Lee Chapman and Jermaine Beckford (twice) were the only previous players to score 30 goals in a season for Leeds.
