Leeds United head coach Thomas Christiansen will welcome defender Liam Cooper back into his squad for the trip to Sunderland.

Cooper was forced out of the midweek draw with Fulham through injury but he has travelled with the squad after returning to training.

Leeds will still be without fellow defender Gaetano Berardi and Matthew Pennington who haven`t featured since suffering injuries in the opening weekend win at Bolton Wanderers.

Ronaldo Vieira, Liam Bridcutt, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, Mateusz Klich, Kemar Roofe, Stuart Dallas and Caleb Ekuban will all be hoping for a return to the starting line-up.

Sunderland boss Simon Grayson says he might make changes to his side after a busy start to the season.

Grayson will welcome Bryan Oviedo and Jack Rodwell back into his squad for the game after recovering from injury.

Paddy McNair, Duncan Whatmore and Josh Maja remain sidelined through injury.
