Leeds United fans continue to be used and abused as more and more games are moved.

I ran an article on the eve of the new fixtures being released, stating do not start planning for next season.

Just three weeks after the fixtures came out; Leeds fixture list is already being littered with games moved for TV and on Police advice.

Despite Ken Bates please for the TV companies to give the fans a break, Sky TV and the BBC have already chosen Leeds for seven live games in the opening three months of the season.

What makes this worse is some of the games that have been chosen are amongst the longest trips of the season.

The opening day game at Southampton will now kick off at 5.20pm, a 470 mile round trip from Elland Road.

The game at Brighton`s new Amex stadium had already been moved on Police advice to the Friday night and as also been chosen for live coverage meaning a 515 mile round trek, the longest of the season on a busy Friday on the M1 and M25.

Ironically, the BBC had chosen the game at Brighton for live coverage until the game was switched to the Friday.

The game at Upton Park against West Ham will now be played on Sunday lunchtime with a 1.15pm kick off meaning a very early start to the 420 mile round trip.

For once it will be Cardiff fans who will face an early start when they have to make the trek up to Leeds for a Sunday lunchtime kick off, for the sake of live coverage on Sky.

Not to be outdone, the Police have already moved the game at Cardiff to 12.30pm on Saturday meaning a very early start to a 470 mile round trip.

Whilst most people will have time to recover from their excess Christmas food and drink Leeds fans will be on the round for the 1pm kick off at Derby County.

Whilst all these TV games are great for those Leeds fans that cannot get to games, for those of us who like to travel with Leeds around the country it just becomes a pain.

Leeds fans can now wait for the next game to be moved for live coverage or on Police advice, but I am sure it will not be long.

What will still be guaranteed are Leeds fans packing out the away end like they have done for many seasons.
