Leeds United and Cardiff City will face off again tomorrow night at Elland Road after the Yorkshire side forced a replay with a Sonny Perkins late goal in Wales last Sunday.

Jesse Marsch is expected to make wholesale changes to the side that lost out narrowly at Villa Park on Friday. Patrick Bamford came off the bench to score a late goal in the 2-1 loss and he is expected to be given a start in the cup game to aid his return to fitness with some crucial minutes for the 29-year-old. New signing Georginio Rutter who penned a five-and-a-half-year deal last week is ineligible to play as he wasn’t signed and registered before the first game.

Luis Sinisterra is back in training but the game may have come too soon for the winger, although Marsch has stated the Colombian could be included in the squad. Long-term Absentee, Stuart Dallas is still on the road to recovery and doing well. The only other injury concerns for the Whites are Crysencio Summerville, Adam Forshaw and Archie Gray who are all thought to be a few weeks away from action.

Cardiff City relieved their manager Mark Hudson from his duties and are not expected to have a new manager in place by tomorrow night. The Bluebirds are expected to field roughly the same starting eleven that drew 1-1 with Wigan at the weekend. Romaine Sawyers and Andy Rinomhota are scheduled to start after coming off the bench on Saturday.

Both sides will be hoping to progress to the next round where they will travel to face either Boreham Wood or Accrington Stanley.

Leeds v Cardiff is on Wednesday 18 th January, with a 7:45 pm kick-off.
