Leeds United’s return to Championship action got off to the worst possible start after they were beaten 2-0 by Cardiff City.

It means the Whites have dropped to second position following West Brom’s draw on Saturday afternoon, though we still hold a seven-point cushion to the playoff positions.

Junior Hoilett opened the scoring for the home side with a scorching strike after just 35 minutes before substitute Robert Glatzel doubled the Bluebirds’ lead later in the second half.

Should Bielsa drop Bamford vs Fulham?

Absolutely!

No way!

It certainly throws a spanner in the works as Marcelo Bielsa’s side try to end a 16-year absence from the English top-flight, and despite fans not being in attendance for the game, plenty of the Elland Road faithful tuned in from home and were left reeling by the performance from striker Patrick Bamford.

Per SofaScore, the 26-year-old failed to make much of an impact having only recorded 22 touches all match along with two shots off target and two big chances missed.

It’s led to some supporters blasting the forward for stealing a living whilst others slamming him for being “terrible” and a “donkey”.
