Leeds United returned to the top of the Championship standings and gave their title hopes a monumental boost with a rampant victory this afternoon.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side romped to a 3-0 win over promotion rivals Fulham at Elland Road to move eight points clear of the playoff zone.

The west Yorkshiremen took the lead early in the first half when Patrick Bamford slotted home from a Helder Costa cross and substitutions at the break helped steer them onto a resounding three points.

Who should start up top under Bielsa?

Patrick Bamford

Tyler Roberts

Gjanni Alioski, who came on at half-time, doubled the advantage just before the hour mark, sliding an effort home unmarked before fellow sub Pablo Hernandez found Jack Harrison with an exquisite ball over the top to then tuck home a third.

Despite supporters not being in attendance, plenty watched the game with it being broadcast on Sky Sports, and it’s clear to see that many were more than pleased with the display of Tyler Roberts.

Some raved over him being “unbelievable” and a “superstar in the making” whilst others claimed that they preferred the Welsh youngster over Bamford.
