Leeds United fans have flocked to a recent tweet from The Athletic’s Phil Hay this week after he revealed the extent of Pablo Hernandez’s injury.

The ever-reliable Whites correspondent claims that the veteran Spaniard will miss this Sunday’s return against Cardiff City but it’s only a minor issue, so he’ll be back to full training in the week.

However, it’s caused some members of the Elland Road faithful to fume as it’s typical this would happen whilst others are worried about their prospects on the pitch now.

Should Roberts replace Hernandez?

Yes!

No!

No!

Marcelo Bielsa’s side are back in action after three months on the sidelines. There are just nine games to play and they hold a seven-point cushion to the playoff positions – surely it won’t happen again, will it?

With the 35-year-old set to watch the game from the stands (or potentially at home), who could step up and replace him? Plenty of supporters have urged Bielsa to call upon Tyler Roberts, who started to find his feet before lockdown struck.
