Loads of Leeds United fans have been left furious by comments from an old foe this week.
The Premier League was back in action on Wednesday evening with matters being kickstarted by Sheffield United’s trip to Aston Villa – two teams that were promoted over the Whites last season.
There was a hugely controversial incident during the first-half after the Blades looked to have scored but Hawkeye technology malfunctioned and couldn’t give the visitors their well-deserved goal, even though VAR was in use. Baffling.
Will Leeds replace Villa in the PL?
Absolutely, bye-bye!
No, they'll stay up!
Anyway, after the game, Villa boss Dean Smith claimed that he didn’t consider handing United a goal and that Chris Wilder probably wouldn’t want that to happen either.
These remarks have sparked fury amongst the Elland Road faithful as the memories of our clash with the Midlands outfit last season still rings fresh in the minds of some.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side had scored with a Villa player down injured during the tie, resulting in one massive curfuffle – before the Argentine instructed his side to concede a goal to put things as they were before the incident.
As a result of Smith’s comments, Leeds fans have unleashed fury…
Absolute hypocrite. I pray this awful club get relegated.

He is a joke of manager as much as he is a joke of a man! Villa are pathetic. I would love nothing more to see them go down this season
