Leeds United went top of the Championship table with a rampant victory this afternoon, boosting their title hopes substantially.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side romped to a 3-0 win over promotion rivals Fulham at Elland Road to move eight points clear of the dreaded playoff zone.

The Whites took the lead early in the first half when Patrick Bamford slotted home from a Helder Costa cross and substitutions at the break helped steer them onto a resounding three points.

Half-time inductees Gjanni Alioski and Pablo Hernandez played their parts in the second period. The winger slotted home unmarked just before the hour mark whilst the Spanish wizard lofted a sublime ball over the Cottagers’ backline to set Jack Harrison free on goal, to which he duly fired in a third.

Should Klich be dropped after his first two games back?

Yes!

No!

No!

However, the west Yorkshire faithful watching from home were far from pleased with the performance from Mateusz Klich in the heart of midfield.

Per SofaScore, the 30-year-old made just 15 passes all game, a rather disappointing number considering he’s part of Bielsa’s energetic engine room. He also lost possession 11 times and committed three fouls.

It wasn’t a good afternoon for the Polish midfielder.

Some fans blasted him for being a “complete passenger” whilst others slammed him for being “shocking” and “woeful.”
