With ongoing and heavy speculation this last week and a bit linking Leeds United with a move for Swansea City winger Daniel James, with claim and counterclaim in the media over our chances of successfully netting what appeared to be our long term top target this month, there was a significant breakthrough earlier this evening.
Sky Sports News reported just after 6pm that a deal for the 21-year-old talent was now close and although the state of play between both clubs on a deal was still somewhat vague, talks have clearly progressed to a stage where the young Welshman had now been given permission to travel to us presumably for a medical and to discuss terms on what is believed will be a loan deal until the end of the season.
Speculation earlier in the day had claimed that a buy clause was optional, but would not be obligatory over the summer.

The video certainly caused a stir online as fans felt a quiet deadline day was now turning into a good one.
It’s also being suggested by the Yorkshire Evening Post that defender Tom Pearce will soon secure himself a loan away from the club with Scunthorpe United being the likely destination.
