Leeds Slip Again As West Ham Take The Win, But No Reason For Panic – Match Stats

|

With Premier League games coming thick and fast it feels like Leeds United have had to wait an age following our defeat to Chelsea, but Friday evening’s action had us up against West Ham United at Elland Road.

It was a lively start, three minutes in Mats Klich wasted an attempt from the penalty spot after Patrick Bamford was fouled in the box, but it went to VAR and they ordered a retake – and he made no mistake at the second time of asking.

The visitors were in the game though and with chances coming, they found their leveller 25 minutes in.

The second half turned more in their favour and with eleven minutes remaining on the clock, what felt like an inevitable goal for them, finally came and we fell behind. We were still in the match though and our best chance probably fell to Rodrigo at this stage, but his attempt was straight at the keeper.

2-1 final score, another defeat and lessons to learn but we all knew this season wouldn’t be a walk in the park and we remain comfortably clear from the dropzone.
