Leeds bounced back from their defeat at the weekend with a comprehensive win at Nottingham Forest.

In an emotional night at the City Ground, which started with a minute`s applause for former player Gary Speed.

Leeds fans marked the occasion by singing the name of Gary Speed for eleven minutes and just as they finished singing, Leeds took the lead through Robert Snodgrass.

Jonny Howson made it two just before half time and Luciano Becchio sealed the win early in the second half.

Adam Clayton made it four to record Leeds fifth away win in their last six games.

Leeds made two changes to their starting line-up from the one that lost to Barnsley at the weekend.

Midfielder Michael Brown came in for leading goalscorer Ross McCormack and Danny Pugh replaced Lloyd Sam in midfield.

Leeds had a fantastic chance in the opening seconds when Robert Snodgrass fired over following a good run and cross by Aidy White.

Jonny Howson and Luciano Becchio then worked well together to force Lee Camp into a save.

Michael Brown was next to test Camp in the Forest goal with Camp putting the ball round the post for a corner.

Snodgrass eventually broke the deadlock for Leeds when he beat Camp from the edge of the area.

Snodgrass had a great chance to make it two when Camp made a mistake and only a goal line clearance from Morgan denied him a second.

Findley had a rare chance for Forest but he headed wide of the target.

Howson missed a great chance to make it two when he fired wide following good work from Snodgrass.

Leeds got a deserved second just before half time when Snodgrass turned provider and Howson fired home his first goal of the season.

The half time whistle followed shortly afterwards with Leeds thoroughly deserving their two goal lead.

Leeds started the second half off how they finished the first and Luciano Becchio headed in a third following a ball in from Brown.

Forest had not tested McCarthy in the Leeds goal and Miller saw his shot deflected over for a corner.

Miller had a great chance to pull a goal back for Forest but his effort was straight at McCarthy.

Leeds made it four when Adam Clayton reacted first to knock it in after Howson saw his shot saved by Camp.

Salt was rubbed into the Forest wound when Andy Reid was sent off for a second bookable offence for a foul on White.

Ross McCormack replaced Becchio and he shot wide within minutes of coming on.

McCormack had another chance soon afterwards when he shot wide after being set up by Ramon Nunez.

It was to prove the last chance as Leeds cemented their place in the play off places.
