Leeds United have shone under the guidance of Marcelo Bielsa this season but a sequence of three consecutive defeats across all competitions has shown there is still work to be done if the club are to secure a return to the Premier League.

The January transfer window provides an opportunity for the Peacocks to bolster their ranks with activity in the market but the club have so far only focused on outgoing pieces of business – and a concerning report has emerged.

According to Football Insider, Leeds have made a shock decision to shelve talks with Jack Clarke regarding a new contract until the end of the season – which leaves the door open for the host of Premier League clubs keen on his services to make a move.

The 18-year-old has broken into the club’s first-team this season, making 11 appearances and scoring two goals, with the reports adding that four unnamed Premier League clubs are plotting a move and will scout the teenager during tonight’s clash with Derby County.
