Leeds United currently lead the way in the Championship but Marcelo Bielsa’s side need further improvements after losing their last three consecutive matches across all competitions.

Another stern test awaits on Friday evening against fellow promotion-chasers Derby County and the general consensus is that new signings are needed in January to help the Peacocks maintain their push for a return to the Premier League.

However, 10 days into the window, Leeds’ business in the market so far has been outgoing and that, along with a vast amount of injury problems, have left the Peacocks squad looking rather thin – and comments from Bielsa have raised concerns.

Speaking about the possibility of signing new players, Bielsa admitted his squad lacks numbers but added he will only pursue new additions if they are better than the current options at his disposal – which suggests that it could be a quiet month at Elland Road.

That led to a variety of reactions on social media and we have gathered some of the comments from supporters below.

  • Leeds fans are never satisfied, your top of the championship stop moaning you’ve got the best manager, the best academy players, just let Bielsa manage the team and shut up.

    • I couldn’t agree more. There are plenty of armchair managers myself included. At the end of the fat the man at the top is the one who is paid to make the difficult decisions and In Bielsa’s We have to trust

  • Funny how when Cellino was on charge and we recruited substandard players there was an outcry from the fans about us buying league 1 level players and rubbish players now that’s all you hear is that we need players lol think about players like Baker who came to Leeds didn’t hit the ground running and was then slaughtered by the fans think about the abuse that peacock Farrell is getting atm and the crap that Phillips had to endure last season and the rubbish Forshaw reads about himself and the stuff said about Pontus Jansson when he hit a patch of poor form do you really think many quality player want to come to Elland Road to endure that for me no signings will be only what we deserve

  • Riots? Shame on you – same folk will be at front of queue saying they never had any doubts if we go up.
Promotion was never going to be easy and it’s incredible we are where we are given our injuries.
Someone’s already said – tighten up on set pieces and improve chances to goals conversion rate – Not easy but its nice having one of worlds best coaches in place to make it happen!

  • AR is the real culprit, he refuses to spend any money, we can’t go up in this situation it just isn’t possible, we need around 4 players in January and if we don’t get them then I’m sorry we don’t have a chance of promotion.
