It is being reported that Leeds United and last weekends opponents Norwich City are set to engage in another battle, this time for Welsh International striker John Hartson.

Hartson, who signed for the Baggies in 2006 was originally a first choice striker however with Diomansy Kamara and Kevin Phillips doing alright for the Championship high-flyers, Hartson has seen chances limited and it is believed that West Brom are willing to let him go out on loan.

A big target man, the ex-Celtic striker would be a terrific signing for us. The only problem now is possibly trying to persuade him he wants to come to Elland Road rather than going to the Canaries, who surely must be looking over their shoulder for the dangers of Bird Flu at the moment

They seem to be debating whether they really need another striker, after all they do play Dion Dublin in defence. A bizarre skill first developed during his time at Aston Villa.
