Leeds’ MotM Wasn’t Really A Shining Light Against QPR But There’s Always Night’s Like That

|

Leeds United missed a glorious chance to retake promotion advantage in the Championship in last night’s trip to Loftus Road to face Queens Park Rangers.

Heading to Steve McClaren’s side, everything was in our favour given their run of seven straight defeats, but Leeds’ usual lack of a clinical edge up top again proved costly as they took a narrow 1-0 victory on the night.

Our route to the Premier League is far from over with the games that remain, but that game in hand would’ve significantly put the pressure on Norwich City and Sheffield United.

Statistics website Whoscored’s player ratings reflected our lack of punch up top and only one player received a score of seven or higher.

Following goalkeeper Kiko Casilla’s 7.13 rating, the top five on the day were completed by Tyler Roberts (6.90), Pontus Jansson (6.86), Ezgjan Alioski (6.83) and Kalvin Phillips (6.72).

Back to doing things the hard way, but this is Leeds after all.
