Alan Thompson will now not serve a suspension after he was sent off against Southampton last weekend. Thompson was sent off for violent conduct but it was later shown (and everyone saw) that it was a ridiculous decision, the midfielder in fact holding back Jhon Viafara, trying to stop him clashing with Eddie Lewis. The FA accepted the clubs appeal.
Whilst this does mean that Thompson is available for the remaining games of the season, we can`t have back the 55 minutes that we played at St.Mary`s with 10 men.
